What the
Greetings. We are Freewaters, a small group on a mission to improve the quality of life through superior product experience and through creative humanitarian initiatives. More specifically, we are on two parallel and fully integrated campaigns: to design the best sandals ever seen and to help find solutions to the global drinking water pandemic.
Why the
As product designers we grew tired of failing to find sandals with the fit, performance and styling that we wanted. As humans, we grew tired of procrastinating to make the world a better place. A brand committed to product excellence and focused on a single social cause is a powerful vehicle for change. We have a vision of what could be and an irresistible itch to see it through. There is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come.
Who the
We are two industrial designers and longtime friends: Martin Kim (knower of all things related to snowboard boots) and Eli Marmar (knower of all things related to wetsuits). We have a shared addiction to pushing the limits of design, wearing sandals 24-7, spending as much time in the water as possible and a common desire to make the world a better place.
